The Jemison Future Farmers of America Alumni is hosting its fourth annual Chili Cook Off and Supper from 5 to 7 p.m. on March 10 at Jemison City Hall.

All proceeds will benefit FFA seniors by helping fund expenses for FFA contests and conventions and scholarships for pursuing an agricultural degree, according to FFA Advisor Clay Mims of JHS.

Mims said the evening will offer “all you can eat” chili and “fixins” for $10 per person.

Cook off entries are due no later than 4:30 p.m. Entries are $20 for participants in the alumni Adult Division and $10 for students.
Trophies will be awarded to first, second and third place winners.

A silent auction will offer items such as cakes, massage benefits, a gift basket, home decorations, a Boston butt from Peach Park, a John Deere leaf blower and more, according to Mims.

“Come out and support your local FFA chapter and the many students involved in agricultural projects,” Mims encourages readers.
