Isabella girls cruise to victory over Maplesville

The Isabella Mustangs girls’ basketball team handled business against the Maplesville Red Devils on Jan. 19 with a 44-21 win.

Isabella took the opening lead of the ballgame and never trailed.

The Mustangs were dominant on both sides of the court and forced the Red Devils into turning the ball over on numerous occasions. Those turnovers led to easy baskets as Isabella took a 24-9 lead to halftime.

The second half was just as dominant for the Mustangs as guard Synia’ Chattman was the leading the charge.

The Red Devils scored 17 third quarter points, but the damage had already been done.

Chattman ended the game with 22 points with her teammate Kiara Ford scoring 14.

Tydasia Davis led the Red Devils in scoring with 10 points.
