Robert Elvin Cleckler

Robert Elvin Cleckler, 80, of Clanton died Sunday, Dec. 17.

He was born on Thursday, Aug. 19, 1937 in Alabama, son of the late Robert Clifton Cleckler and the late Willie Mae Littleton Cleckler.

He was a painter.

Surviving are his wife, Lula Bell Cleckler of Clanton; sons, Wayne (Freda) Cleckler of Clanton and Claudie (Bo) Cleckler; daughter, Mary Cleckler of Clanton; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and sister, Kathy (Jerry) Deavers of Clanton.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Clifton and Willie Mae Cleckler.

Friends will be received from 9-10 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 21 at Martin Chapel.

Services will be held Thursday, Dec. 21 at 10 a.m. at Martin Chapel with Rev. Calvin Smitherman officiating. Interment will follow in Old Macedonia Cemetery, Clanton.
