City of Clanton offices will be closed Dec. 21 through Dec. 25 for the Christmas holiday and will re-open on Dec. 26. The city offices will also be closed on Jan. 1.

Sanitation superintendent Dale Collins said starting Dec. 18 the garbage pickup crews are running a day ahead. Clanton residents are asked to put their trashcans out two days ahead of their normal pick up day to ensure the trash is out on time.

Dec. 25th’s trash pickup will be done early on Dec. 26. Collins asked that Clanton residents put their trash out and leave it out until it is picked up as crews catch up.

Collins emphasized that boxes and Christmas paper need to be in trash bags, especially boxes from big ticket items that could draw the interest of potential burglars.
