Gerald Dixon

Gerald Dixon, 82, of Clanton died Sunday, Nov. 12, at his residence.

He was born on Wednesday, April 10, 1935 in Georgia, son of the late Zeb E. Dixon and the late Carrie Harkins Dixon.

He was retired from the U.S. Air Force and Westington House in South Carolina.

Surviving are his sons, Dwayne Robert Dixon of Colorado and Jerry Dale (Dana) Dixon of California; stepdaughter, Shannon (Steve) Messina of Alabama; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Shelby Franklin, Michigan; and life-long best friend, Joe Ray Wilson.

He is preceded in death by wife, Anna Dixon, and companion, Alice Faye Wilson.

A memorial service will be held Friday, Dec. 8 at 2 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home.
