Jimmie Ralph Mims

Jimmie Ralph Mims (husband of Doris Mims), 80, of Clanton died Friday, Nov. 24 at St. Vincent’s Hospital, Birmingham.

He was born on Saturday, Nov. 20, 1937 in Alabama, son of the late Marion Lee Mims and the late Irene Baker Mims.

He was a timekeeper.

Surviving are his wife, Doris Marie Mims of Clanton; daughter, Susan Teresa Mims of Clanton; grandsons, Jeremy Dale (Fabyanna) Clark of Helena and Corey Austin (Amy) Clark of Clanton; great-granddaughter, Gabriella Grace Clark; great-Granddaughters, Olivia Caroline Clark and Emma Elizabeth Clark; great-grandson, William Riley Clark; sister, Melba Dee Calloway; nephew, Chuck Calloway; and niece, Robin Ray.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marion Lee and Irene Mims.

Friends were received from 1-2 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 26 at Providence #2 Baptist Church.

Services were held Sunday, Nov. 26 at 2 p.m. at Providence #2 Baptist Church with Rev. Glenn Bonds officiating. Interment followed in Providence #2 Baptist Cemetery.
