Anne Cofer King Traywick

Anne Cofer King Traywick, age 81, was called home Monday, Nov. 13, while at home surrounded by her loving family.

Anne was a long time member of The Lighthouse Church in Thorsby where she served the Lord through many ministries over the years from door greeter, to choir, nursery and music ministry.

She was a homemaker, but spent most of her time caring for her three grandchildren through the years. They were the light of her life and she loved spending every minute she could with them. They loved their “Nana” with all of their heart and cherished every day with her.

She also enjoyed reading, and traveling when she was able. She loved spending time with her friends and family any chance she could.

She is survived by her only daughter, Kelly JoAnne Meeks; son-in-law, Larry Meeks; three beloved grandchildren, Cortney Reliford, Colin Meeks, and Aiden Meeks; sister, Phoebe Pate; several beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and wonderful friends.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, James King (1988) and James Traywick (2007); grandson, Dereck Reliford; father, David Green Cofer; mother, Eula Armstrong Cofer; brothers, James (Jim) Cofer, James Allen Cofer, Sr., Billy Ray Cofer, Sr.; and sisters, Hazel Atchison, UL (Dee) Brantley.

Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 15 at Martin Funeral Home.

Services will be held Thursday, Nov. 16 at 1 p.m. at Martin Chapel with Pastor Travis Bussey and Rev. Doug West officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Bapt. #1 Cemetery, Jemison.
