The Chilton County Sheriff’s Office is investigating rumors of a Facebook post describing threats against Isabella High School.

Sheriff John Shearon said the department began working on the case at 6 p.m. and no evidence has been found that the threats were made.

“No one can show us on Facebook where threats were made to shoot up the school,” Shearon said.

After interviews with several students, officers have determined “no merit at all” to word-of-mouth circulating about the action allegedly scheduled for Nov. 6.

However, officers will be at the school tomorrow.

“There will be ample security there,” Shearon said.

The Sheriff’s Officer has been in communication with Superintendent Tommy Glasscock and Principal Ricky Porter.

An investigation is ongoing.
