Matthew Blair Prebula
Matthew Blair Prebula, age 22 of Billingsley, passed away suddenly Sunday, Oct. 29.
He was born on Dec. 6, 1994 in Selma, son of Patrick “Pat” Blair Prebula and Rita Kay Anderson Prebula.
He worked as a pipe fitter for Burkes Mechanical.
He is survived by his mother, Rita Anderson (Rodney Grems) Scarbrough of Robertsdale; father, Patrick “Pat” Blair (Kimberly) Prebula of Billingsley; sisters, Katrina Cherie Prebula of Billingsley and Victoria Elaine Prebula of Double Springs; grandmother, Essie Anderson of Clanton; nieces, Haylee Blair Prebula of Robertsdale and Kaylee Cherie Prebula of Robertsdale; girlfriend, Savannah Smitherman of Maplesville; and two special little buddies, Ethan Kitchens of Maplesville and Jayce Plaisance of Maplesville.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Douglas MacArthur “Mackey” Anderson, Sandra J. Prebula, and Andrew Paul Prebula; and a cousin, Thomas “Mac-Mac” MacArthur Lawrence.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Nov. 3 at 11 a.m. from the Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in Plantersville with Rev. Kenny Colburn officiating. Burial will follow in the Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
