Willie Lee Hayes Mims

Willie Lee Hayes Mims, 94, of Clanton died Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017 at Hatley Health Care.

She was born on Wednesday, Dec. 27, 1922 in Cooper, daughter of the late Monroe Littleton and the late Grace Lee Jones Littleton.

She was a homemaker.

Surviving are her daughters, Nora Kay (Lynn) Ard of Maylene and Norma Jean (Donald) Giles of Clanton; son, Vaudie DeWayne (Dorothy) Hayes of Naverre, Florida; grandsons, Shawn Ard of Alabaster, Michael (Brandi) Ard of Birmingham, Brian (Paula) Giles of Tuscaloosa, Brandon (Christy) Giles of Thorsby, Jason Hayes Wright of Hueytown, and Rodney Pruet, Jr. of Clay; great-grandchildren, Tristen Hatchett, Chandler Ard, Mackenise Ard, Maison Ard, Brady Giles, Parker Giles, and Jackson Giles; sister, Ann Littleton of Clanton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 10:30-11 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 10 at Martin Funeral Home.

Services will be held Tuesday, Oct. 10 at 11 a.m. at Martin Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Chandler and Rev. Doug Powell officiating.

Interment will follow in Martin Memorial Cemetery, Clanton.
