Enjoy good food for a great cause by supporting the Chilton County Humane Society in its spaghetti dinner fundraiser at Hidden Meadow Vineyard in Jemison on Sept. 23 at 7 p.m.

Bertolone’s Italian restaurant is catering the meal, which will include spaghetti with meatballs, salad and dessert. Wine tasting is also included.

Kristi Hyche of the Chilton County Humane Society said singer Caryl Lawson will be providing entertainment.

“It’s a great date night … It’s going to be wonderful,” Hyche said.

Cost for the event is $15 at the door.

An auction is also on the list of the night’s events. The auction will include work by local artists, including Diana Hiott. Ben Nichols will be the event’s auctioneer. Hyche said Nichols is wonderful and funny as an auctioneer.

“I enjoy … getting to meet new people, being able to be a part of something that is bigger than myself,” Hyche said of the event.

Funds raised during the event will help the humane society with general expenses and its Trap, Neuter and Release program for feral cats.

“Feral cats are really good for the environment to keep away unwanted pests, including reptiles,” Hyche said.

Hidden Meadow Vineyard is located at 664 County Road 606 in Jemison.
