NAPA Auto Parts in Jemison is celebrating 20 years of business with a customer appreciation day barbecue on Aug. 17, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

“Twenty years—that’s a milestone,” Donna Robertson, co-owner of NAPA in Jemison, said. “People here have been good to us, and we just want to give back to them.”

“We’re going to have tool give-aways, door prizes people can register for—[they] do not have to be present to win,” Robertson said.

A grand-prize tool cart will be given away.

Doug Headley will serve the barbecue, Robertson said.

“Everything’s free. It’s just a way to give back to the community,” Robertson said.

Donna and Paul Robertson of Brierfield opened the original Jemison NAPA shop in 1997 at the Cobb Plaza.

“We stayed in that building for 10 years. We moved into this building 10 years ago this month,” Robertson said.

NAPA celebrated 10 years along with its new building’s grand opening in 2007, Robertson said.

This time, NAPA will celebrate 10 more years and thank its customers for their support, Robertson said.

“We’ll have a really big tool sale—all our tools will be discounted,” Robertson said. “The tool sale will start Monday the 14th [of August], and it will continue through the 25th.”

NAPA Auto Parts is located at 9755 County Road 42 in Jemison.
