Sharon Renee Porter

Sharon Renee Porter, age 52 of Verbena, passed away Monday, Aug. 7 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham.

She was born on October 10, 1964 in Chilton County; the daughter of the late John Edgar Porter and the late Dorothy Jean Farris Porter.

She was a LPN.

She is survived by her husband, Randy Porter of Verbena; son, Justin (Brandy) Spearman of Thorsby; daughter, Jessica Spearman (David) Langston of Thorsby; granddaughters, Addison Spearman, Lily Langston, Ashlyn Spearman, and Emily Langston; sister, Karen Porter (Larry) Reeser of Thorsby; brother, Stanley (Sheila) Porter of Jemison; brother, Johnny Porter of Thorsby; and brother, Greg (Stephanie) Porter of Thorsby.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John E. and Dorothy J. Porter, and sister, Glenda Carolyn Davenport.

Visitation will be held Thursday, Aug. 10 after 5 p.m. at New Salem Baptist Church in Clanton. Funeral services will be held Friday, Aug. 11 at 11 a.m. from New Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Lovett officiating. Burial will follow in the New Salem Baptist Cemetery in Clanton.
