Maymay Made It is hosting a free art event in support of the Kindness Rocks movement sweeping the county.

“We know how popular it has gotten in the area and we wanted to do a project with kids and parents before school starts,” Amanda Ray of Maymay Made It.

The rock painting party will be July 29 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

All supplies, including rocks, will be supplied.

Rocks can be kept or hidden. Many of the local areas have Facebook pages where people can post when they hide or find a rock. The Verbena page can be found by searching for Verbena Rocks on Facebook.

“We think it is good clean family fun, and we want to be a par t and encourage it,” Ray said.

Maymay Made It is located at 3985 US Hwy 31 in Verbena.
