Habitat for Humanity of Autauga and Chilton Counties is holding a drawing for an autographed football.

The nonprofit is raffling off two footballs: one signed by Nick Saban and one signed by Gus Malzahn.

“There are a lot of Auburn fans and there are a lot of Alabama fans” so it seemed like a good idea,” Lisa Green, Habitat for Humanity of Autauga and Chilton Counties, said.

This is the first year for the drawing to be held, but Green said the organization hopes to make this an annual event.

Those who do not win a football will be entered into second chance drawings for a pair of Fathom 39 CR Costa sunglasses, a gift card to outback and a gift card to Applebee’s.

“We’re are raising money to build low-income housing for low -income families. The houses are simple, decent and affordable,” Green said.

Applications will be accepted in the near for a build in Chilton County. Green said this will probably be done this fall.

Tickets are $5 a piece or 10 for $45. Green said there are 1,000 tickets available. The drawing will be June 26 and winners will be notified by phone.

Tickets are available in Clanton at 20/20 Eyecare at 638 Clanton Market Place and will be available at Peach Jam on June 23.
