Mazingo said his favorite part of the parade is ” getting a chance to meet all of the different entrants, the personal interaction.

“I enjoy seeing the community come together and filling the streets to show support of our new Peach Queens. Everyone loves to see what their floats look like and plus they love to get the peach candy that is thrown by the Queens and their courts!” Lions Club member Cindy Mazingo said.

According to the parade rules, “All entries should have some type of peach theme decoration to correspond with the peach festival activities. Emergency Vehicles are exempt from this … Each entry should be checked in and ready to roll by 8:50 a.m. Late arrivals may be bumped even if you have a number. Upon arriving at lineup area, entries should check in with parade officials. All entries other than School Marching Bands are required to be on a float or some type of moving vehicle.”
