Maplesville — Taylor-Made Lumber Company is holding a grill giveaway to help Brittany Seales Buckner and her family.

Buckner was diagnosed with a brain tumor in December and has multiple surgeries since. Her treatment is ongoing. As a way to help cover the medical expenses the company is giving the community the opportunity to buy tickets for the grill drawing.

“Brittany and her family have been in the community for years … She has two young children and we just wanted to do something to help,” controller Sharon Roper said.

Buckner’s aunt works at Taylor-Made.

Tickets for the giveaway are available at Maplesville Town Hall, Seales Grocery and Taylor-Made Lumber Company from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Tickets are $5 a piece with all of the money collected going to Buckner. The drawing for the grill will be on May 5 at 10 a.m.

Roper said some have simply made a donation to the family. Those wanting to donate, but not be entered for the drawing can do so at any of the locations selling tickets. Checks should be made payable to Terry Seales, Buckner’s father.
