Chilton County Schools will be closed Friday, Jan. 6.

School Superintendent Tommy Glasscock made the decision to close schools after meeting with the Emergency Management Agency and the Chilton County Sheriff’s Office and discussing the forecast.

Glasscock said the forecast and information from the NWS was analyzed and the decision was made to close school based on the timeline of adverse conditions.
