Top players in Region 3-1A selected

The success that Maplesville and Isabella High Schools had on the football field was evident with the release of the All-region team.

The selections were chosen by the coaches of Region 3-1A and included representation of several Red Devils and Mustangs.

Maplesville won the region championship and its third straight Class 1A state title and had 12 players on the all-region team.

Isabella bounced back from a 1-9 record to win 10 games and earn a postseason victory in head coach Tate Leonard’s first year at the helm.

The Mustangs had seven players on the team as a result of the turn-around season.
