Sandra Mims Swenson

Sandra Mims Swenson, 73, of Clanton died Friday, Dec. 9 at St. Vincent’s Chilton, Clanton.

She was born on Thursday, Feb. 18, 1943 in Clanton, daughter of the late Ralph Mims and the late Eunice Bullard Mims.

She was a teacher.

Surviving are her husband, Gordon Swenson of Clanton; daughter, Erin (David) Ray of Battle Creek, Mich.; grandchildren, Taylor Myers, Kathryn Myers, and Payten Ray; nieces, Jennifer Mims and Catherine Mims; and nephews, Stephen Mims and John Mims.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Eunice Mims; brother, Billy Mims; and brother, John Mims.

Friends will be received from 10-11 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 15 at Martin Funeral Home.

Memorial service will be held Thursday, Dec. 15 at 11 a.m. at Martin Chapel with Rev. Matt DeBord officiating.
