Charles W. Walden

Charles W. Walden, 90, of Thorsby died Monday, Dec. 12.

He was born Wednesday, May 12, 1926 in Georgia, son of the late Morris D. Walden and the late Flossie Harrison Walden.

He was a superintendent.

Surviving are his daughter, Janet (Johnny) Newell of Brandon, Miss.; grandchildren, Ryan Walden, Ragan (Blake) Swearengine, Kelly (Bruce) Nazary, and Mandy Newell; and great-grandchildren, Brady Walden, Victoria and Landon Swearengine, and Charley Hayes Nazary.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Kittrell Walden, and son, Charles Walden.

Friends will be received from 9-11 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 14 at Martin Funeral Home. Services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 14 at 11 a.m. at Martin Chapel with Rev. Mark Hodges officiating. Interment will follow in Martin Memorial Cemetery, Clanton.
