A magical season came to an end for Isabella following a 26-21 loss on the road to Georgiana in the second round of the playoffs on Friday.

It was a close game throughout with the Mustangs leading their share, including 14-12 at the half and growing the margin to nine, midway through the fourth quarter.

Isabella went into halftime with the lead and the momentum following an interception by Hunter Langston off a deflected pass by Jarred Campbell to stop a Georgiana drive.

The Mustangs opened the second half as the aggressors with a successful onside kick that was converted into points with a touchdown.

However, the turning point in the game came with 7:30 left to play and Isabella clinging to a 21-20 lead after a Georgiana score.

The ensuing kickoff return was fumbled and Georgiana pounced on the ball and were rewarded with prime field position that they did not squander.

Suddenly trailing, there was one last chance left for Isabella to extend its season, but time expired and a productive year came to an end under first year head coach Tate Leonard.

Jaqarise Stacy led the way rushing with 141 yards and a score to accompany completing six of 11 passes for 92 yards.

Langston hauled in 88 yards through the air, as well as an interception on defense, while Austin Brasher and Cornelius Stacy each ran for a touchdown.
