The Mustangs secured the victory with a late defensive stand at the 4-yard line with 53 seconds.

Austin Brasher finished with 12 carries 123 yards and three scores, while Jarred Campbell had 93 yards on nine carries and one touchdown.

Hunter Langston had 212 all-purpose yards.

The win sets up a region showdown with Maplesville next week, as both teams enter the matchup undefeated.

 

Benjamin Russell 37, Chilton County 34

 

A big second quarter by Benjamin Russell was the difference in an otherwise highly contested affair between the two teams.

Chilton County was outscored 20-7 in the second quarter.

Kendall Davis led the way offensively completing 16 of 29 passes for 247 yards and two scores.

Dustin Cleckler was all over the place on defense with a team-high nine tackles and an interception.
