Debra Ann Deloach Mims

Debra Ann Deloach Mims, 56, of Clanton left this earth to be with her Heavenly Father on Thursday, Sept. 15.

She was born on Dec. 21, 1959 in Clanton, daughter of the late William Ray Deloach, Sr. and the late Barbara Ann Dale.

To know Deb was to love her devotedness to God, and through His grace, she touched the lives of many with her infinite service as Church Hostess at Bethsalem Baptist, cooking for hundreds and organizing church gatherings. Deb always made sure everyone felt loved and welcome. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend, Deb loved boundlessly.

Surviving are her childhood sweetheart and husband of 39 years, Jeffery Neil Mims of Clanton; sons, Ryan (Casey) Mims of Macon, Ga., and Kyle (Kristin) Mims of Clanton; daughters, Rachel Mims of Clanton, and Zoe Roberts of Clanton; grandchildren, Hubbard Mims, Kelton Mims, and Gavin Nelson; sister, Lynn Mims of Clanton; beloved aunt, Betty Trimble of Clanton; and a host of family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, William Ray Deloach, Sr.; mother, Barbara Ann Dale Deloach; brother, William Ray “Buddy” Deloach, Jr.; and grandparents, James & Pauline Dale.

Friends will be received from 10-11 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 17 at Bethsalem Baptist Church, Billingsley.

Services will be held Saturday, Sept. 17 at 11 a.m. at Bethsalem Baptist Church with Rev. Tony Smitherman and Rev. Brad Eubank officiating.

Interment will follow in Chestnut Creek Baptist Cemetery, Verbena.
