Ruthie Martha Hayes

Ruthie Martha Hayes, 97, of Clanton died Tuesday, Sept. 6 at St. Vincents, Birmingham.

She was born Friday, May 30, 1919 in Chilton County, daughter of the late John Littleton and the late Era Jones Littleton.

She was a homemaker.

Surviving are son, John (Elaine) Hayes of Adamsville; daughter, Linda (Robert) Moore of Clanton; three grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and sister, Lucille Foshee of Clanton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl J. Hayes; son, Lloyd Hayes; grandson, Yancey Moore; and sisters, Lorene Bottoms and Bernice Mims.

Friends will be received from 1:30-2:30 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 10 at Martin Funeral Home.

Services will be held Saturday, Sept. 10 at 2:30 p.m. at Martin Chapel with Rev. Eddie Lightsey officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant Baptist Cemetery, Clanton.
