Lamar J. Cost

Lamar J. Cost, 85, of Clanton died Thursday, July 28 at Hope Memory Care, Dacula, Ga.

He was born on Thursday, Sept. 4, 1930 in Chilton County, son of the late O.V. Cost and the late Carrie Mae Rutherford Cost.

He was a teacher.

Surviving are his son, Larry (Tracy) Cost; grandsons, Zachary Cost and Taylor (Amber) Cost; brother, Gene (Myrtle) Cost; sisters, Peggy Marcus and Faye (Raymond) Powell; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 5-7 p.m., Friday, Aug. 12 at Martin Funeral Home. Services will be held Saturday, Aug. 13 at 10 a.m. at Martin Chapel with Rev. Don Cross officiating. Interment will follow in Chilton Memorial Gardens, Clanton. Martin Funeral Home directing.
