John Thomas “Tommy” Bice

John Thomas “Tommy” Bice, age 82 of Jemison, passed away Saturday, Aug. 6 at his residence.

He was born in Shelby on Sept. 21, 1933, the son of the late John Calvin Bice and the late Lessie Matthews Bice.

He was a former mechanic.

He is survived by his wife, Clydell Bice of Jemison; daughter, Darlene (Vance) White of Shelby; son, Jerry (Sharon) Bice of Columbiana; daughter, Sherry (Bob) Owens of Calera; son, Michael Bice of Maylene; 13 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; brother, Mack (Donna) Bice of Jemison; and sister, Doris (Rob) West of Clanton.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Calvin and Lessie Bice; and sister, Olys Campbell.

Visitation will be held Monday, Aug. 8 from 6-8 p.m. at Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Clanton.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Aug. 9 at 1 p.m. from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. David Hand officiating. Burial will follow in the Midway Memorial Gardens in Jemison.
