Richard Earl “Rickey” Posey, age 64 of Randolph, passed away suddenly on June 24, 2016, in Montgomery.

He was born in Chilton County on February 15, 1952, the son of the late S.D. Posey and Betty Crumpton Posey.

He was a self-employed in construction.

He is survived by: wife, Linda Posey of Randolph; son, Heath Posey of Trussville; son, Wes Posey of Montevallo; grandchildren: Nolan Posey, Vada Posey, and Justice Posey; mother, Betty Posey of Randolph; sister, Sue (Bobby) Pate of Leeds; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 29 at noon from Union Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. Steve Johnson officiating.

The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the church.

Burial with firefighter honors will follow in the Union Springs Baptist Cemetery in Randolph.
