Traywick recognized for reading performance

Garrett Traywick, a fifth grader at Clanton Intermediate School, was presented an award for his reading performance this school year.

Traywick accumulated 548-plus points with the Accelerated Reader program, obtaining 22 AR points in one week.

Other achievements include: 190 perfect scores in AR, 211/213 quizzes completed with 96.5 percent accuracy, and straight 100s in English this school year.

Traywick participated in the Science Olympiad at Jacksonville State, where his team placed third out of 33 teams in “Bridging the Gap” and third out of 33 in the “Where in the World.”

He is described by his teachers as “a problem solver, an independent thinker, a very responsible student, and a good friend to everyone.”

Traywick also participates in the enrichment program.

His parents are Jonas and Dana Traywick.
