Maplesville Police Dept. reports for the week of June 12, 2016

The following is an activity report of the Maplesville Police Department from May 1-May 31:

May 1

•An arrest was made at the Chevron on US 82 for an outstanding warrant with Tuscaloosa PD for possession of marijuana after a traffic stop.

May 2

•A report was made for a missing person from the 800 Block of AL Hwy 139. The missing person returned 3 days later.

May 3

•A b/m was arrested by Pelham Police for an outstanding warrant with Maplesville for driving with a suspended license. A Maplesville officer was dispatched to pick up the prisoner.

May 6

•A b/m was picked up at Dallas County Line for a warrant with Maplesville P d for marijuana. The Defendant was picked up by Selma Police. A Maplesville officer was dispatched to pick up the prisoner.

May 7

•An arrest was made at the Dollar General for shoplifting. A w/m was arrested.

May 9

•A report was made for a vehicle striking a deer on US Hwy 82 near Valley View Grocery. No injuries, property damage only.

May 12

•AL Hwy 22 And Mulberry St., after a traffic stop a b/f was arrested for warrants with Selma PD. Vehicle was towed and defendant was transported to the county line and turned over to Selma PD.

May 13

•A b/f pumped 35.00 worth of gas at The Barking Frog and drove off without paying. A warrant was issued for the suspect.

•7200 Blk of AL Hwy 22, a report was made for assault after a fight where a man was hit with a fire extinguisher; injuries were sustained on both parties.

May 14

•A report was made for a domestic incident at the intersection of Mulberry St and AL Hwy 22.

May 15

•Reynolds St, a report was made for harassment after a domestic incident that took place in Clanton.

May 16

•A report was made for identity theft after a citizen came in stating someone used his SSN for a job and the IRS is trying to make him pay taxes.

May 19

•A two vehicle wreck at the intersection of AL Hwy 22 and Main St. resulted in property damage after one vehicle pulled out and struck another vehicle that was pulling a trailer.

May 24

•A report was made for forgery at The Barking Frog after several checks were passed that the account was closed and the checks were stolen; multiple suspects.

•MM 108 and US Hwy 82 vehicle struck a deer, property damage only.

•An arrest was made at the Shelby County Jail on a w/m for a warrant with Maplesville for drug paraphernalia. A Maplesville officer was dispatched to pick up the prisoner.

•A report was made for property damage in the area of 191 and AL Hwy 22 after a Ford Explorer struck a deer.

May 25

•A report was made for vehicle damage after a state van transporting cadavers was struck by a buzzard in the windshield, no personal injury.

May 28

•After a traffic stop on AL Hwy 82 and mm 106, an arrest was made for marijuana on a w/f.

May 30

•A b/m was arrested for marijuana after a traffic stop on US Hwy 82, two firearms and a bottle of Jack Daniels were also confiscated.

May 31

•A report was made for burglary in the 600 Blk of County Road 10.
