The North Chilton Dizzy Dean baseball tournament was hosted May 21 in Thorsby.

In the championship game for the 5-6 age group, Jemison Wargo beat Thorsby Lister, 23-8. Jemison Wargo finished 15-0 on the season.

In the 7-8 age group, Jemison Gentry beat Maplesville Hubbard, 9-6.

In the 9-10 age group, Thorsby Jones beat Thorsby Davenport 13-0. Thorsby Jones was 15-0 on the season.

In the 11-12 age group, Thorsby Thompson beat Jemison Lowery, 19-5.

The batting cages at Thorsby Park were dedicated in memory of Todd Stephens, a former coach who passed away. His son, Chandler Stephens, hit two grand slams in the same inning during the win for Thorsby Thompson.
