LCTC students excel in ACE competition

Students from LeCroy Career Technical Center competed in the ACE competition at Wallace Community College Selma on March 11.
Four students competed in the welding competition.: Michael Patterson from Thorsby High School, Gunner Smith from Thorsby High School, Caleb Giles from Isabella High School and Peyton Fulmer from Thorsby High School.
Giles placed third in the Individual Arc Welding Competition. Patterson placed second in the Individual TIG-MIG-OFC Welding Competition.
LCTC had three students compete in the Commercial Industrial Wiring competition: Dylan Latham from Chilton County High School, Josh Johnson from Chilton County High School and Tyler Womble from Jemison High School. The three are pictured with Chris Johnson, former I.T.E instructor at LCTC.
All three students from LCTC placed in the top three: Johnson received first place, Womble received second place and Latham received third place.
LCTC had six students compete in the Health Science competitions: C.J. Price from Maplesville High School, second place in Nursing Assistant Skills; Chasity Davenport from Chilton County High School, first place in Health Science Knowledge Bowl Team; Courtney Smith from Maplesville High School, Nursing Assistant Skills competitor; Debra Sosa, Health Science instructor; Kandis Lockhart from Thorsby High School, first place in Health Science Knowledge Bowl Team; Lexi Gray from CCHS, first place in Health Science Knowledge Bowl Team; and Jonathon Scalf from Thorsby High School, first place in Health Science Knowledge Bowl Team.
