The Gardens of Clanton held their first Easter parade/spring fashion show on March 24.

The residents were dressed in their Easter “Sunday Best” and modeled their new Easter hats that were handmade earlier in the week.

Residents were judged for their Easter hat creativity by Danny Jones, owner of Durbin Farms Market, Dianne Bean and Amanda Flournoy of Chosen Two.

Administrator Vickie P. Moseley presented a gift and ribbon to Kay Miller for “best Easter design,” Joyce Eiland for “most colorful”, Doris Berry for “most unique” and Deborah Karn for “prettiest hat.”

Honorable mentions were Henry Doyle and Bill Attaway.

Activities included a time of singing by Chosen Two, and communion led by Burks Crane from Clanton First Baptist Church.

After lunch, the events of the day ended with a surprise visit from the Easter bunny.

The Easter bunny took photos with the residents and gave each resident an Easter basket full of goodies.
