Chilton County High School’s softball team traveled play to Bryant High School on Thursday, and lost 3-1 in a game that was called in bottom of sixth inning due to rain.

According to head coach Ryan Poe, it was the best pitcher that the Tigers had faced through the early part of the season, and responded poorly.

Hannah Oaks pitched well enough to win, but the bats were unable get going.

Cassie Phillips reached on an error in the third inning, and later scored on a double to left center field by Gabriel Kelley.

However, that was the only run that CCHS could manage, as the inning ended with runners stranded on second and third base.

Earlier in the week, the Tigers cruised 15-0 past Selma in four innings on Tuesday.

Oaks helped fuel the Tigers’ hopes by pitching a complete game shutout.

After this week’s results, Chilton County has an overall record of 2-2 and 1-0 in area play.

CCHS will travel this weekend and participate in a tournament hosted by Prattville Christian Academy.
