Clanton mayor signs Arbor Week proclamation
Clanton Mayor Billy Joe Driver signed an official proclamation during the fourth week of February as Arbor Week.

The city gave away 3,000 tree seedlings to the public in front of Clanton City Hall (pictured).
Species of trees included in the giveaway were willow oak, water oak, Nuttall oak, sawtooth oak, Shumard oak, river birch, Chinese dogwood, crepe myrtle, persimmon, beauty berry, crabapple, red maple, Japanese maple and zelkova.
