Rain is possible every day this week, including Tuesday, when voters will head to the polls for party primary elections.

The National Weather Service’s forecast for the Clanton area calls for a 20-percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m. Tuesday, with a high temperature near 73 and wind increasing from 5-10 mph in the morning to 10-15 mph in the afternoon.

Showers and thunderstorms are likely between 7 p.m. Tuesday and 1 a.m. Wednesday.

The low temperature overnight Tuesday should be close to 40 degrees.

Wednesday will see a 40-percent chance of showers before 7 a.m., then a gradual clearing after the mid-morning, with temperatures reaching the mid-50s.

A 30-percent chance of showers is forecasted for Thursday, with a high of 61, then a 60-percent chance of precipitation early Friday morning.

Skies will clear Friday morning and give way to a high near 60—and what should be a pleasant weekend.

The forecast for Saturday is sunny skies with a high near 65, and much the same on Sunday.
