Maplesville Police Dept. reports for the week of Feb. 7, 2016

The following is an activity report of the Maplesville Police Department from Dec. 2-Dec. 28:

Dec. 2

•Burglary of a residence off County Road 10. Suspect was caught in Montgomery the following day.

Dec. 6

•Gas drive-off at the Barking Frog. Suspect was caught driving out of town and arrested.

Dec. 12

•Report made for a forged check being passed at the Barking Frog. The suspect was later arrested.

Dec. 13

•Suspect who had warrants for Maplesville for failure to pay fines was picked up at Highway 119 in Montevallo. Calera Police had arrested the suspect, and he was released to Maplesville officers.

Dec. 17

•Suspect arrested for failure to appear for driving with a suspended license. The suspect was also under investigation for burglary. County Road 45 and Ebenezer Cemetery.

Dec. 18

•Private property accident, vehicle damage only with no injuries.

Dec. 19

•Suspect arrested for marijuana after a traffic stop on Alabama Highway 22 and Shanks Drive.

Dec. 20

•Report made for robbery after a citizen stated he was walking down Alabama Highway 22 and picked up by a subject and then robbed at gunpoint. No injuries were sustained.

Dec. 23

•Single-vehicle accident causing injuries to the driver and passengers and had to be evacuated for injuries. Driver lost control and hit a pine tree.

Dec. 26

•Two subjects arrested after leading officers on a high-speed pursuit up Alabama Highway 139, ending at Moore’s Crossroads in Shelby County on Alabama Highway 119. The vehicle was stolen and had a stolen tag and also marijuana in the vehicle. No injuries were sustained.

Dec. 28

•Vehicle struck a deer on U.S. Highway 82 and County Road 337 causing property damage only.
