The Winter Miss Miracle Maker Pageant will be hosted at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Clanton Middle School.

Laura Grace Henry, Miss West Central Alabama’s Outstanding Teen, is hosting the pageant.

“Clanton is such a big pageant town, and the people are so supportive and so I wanted to have it there,” Henry said.

This is not a school pageant but a fundraiser with all proceeds from the pageant going directly to Birmingham Children’s Hospital.

Children’s of Alabama has been providing specialized medical care for ill and injured children since 1911. It is ranked among the best pediatric medical centers in the nation by the U.S. News and World Report.

This is the pageant’s second year.

“This pageant is for Children’s Miracle Network, so I’m really glad I can host this pageant and that it will be helping these sick children,” Adams said. “So far, we have about 50 participants with more coming in.”

The pageant will feature contestants ranging in age from 9 months to 18 years.

There will be a $5 admission fee at the door; proceeds will go directly to Children’s Miracle Network.
