Cecil Lee Williams Sr.

Cecil Lee Williams Sr., 77, of Maplesville, passed away on Dec. 18 at the Birmingham VA Hospital in Birmingham.

He was born in Perry County on Nov. 28, 1938, the son of the late Robert Williams and the late Vera Mitchell Williams.

He was a former truck driver.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Faye Williams of Maplesville; son, John Williams (Regina) of Jones; daughter, Tammy Mehan of Plantersville (Barry); son, Cecil “Bubba” Williams III (Ora) of Billingsley; son, Cecil Williams Jr. of Maplesville; son, Scott Williams (Alicia) of Maplesville; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Louise Roberts of Selma, Jean Collins of Jones and Carol Clark of Selma and brother James Williams of New Jersey.

He is preceded in death by his son, Kevin Williams; daughter, Tina Hooks; granddaughter, Tasha Williams; grandson, Douglas Clint Williams; parents, Robert and Vera Williams; brother, Charles Williams and sister, Clara Mascarella.

Visitation was Dec. 21 from 5-7 p.m. at Ellison Memorial Funeral Home.

Funeral services were on Dec. 22 at 2 p.m. from Faith Baptist Church with the Rev. Doug Powell officiating.

The body was also be in state on hour prior to the services at the church.

Burial with Naval military honors followed in the Faith Baptist Church Cemetery in Plantersville.

Final care and arrangements entrusted to Ellison Memorial Funeral Home of Clanton.
