Jemison’s boys varsity basketball team lost the final matchup of its Thanksgiving tournament 52-44 against Vincent on Tuesday.
It was their only loss during the three-game round robin, which included wins over Marbury and West Blocton.
Tremont Bryant led the effort with 13 points while Mason Jones added 12 points. Bryant established a rhythm from long range and buried three shots on the night from bonus land.
Ryan Thompson made only one shot in the game but made up for it with his presence in the paint. He grabbed a team-high nine boards and also rejected a pair of shots.
Eric Evans made his living at the free throw line and finished with a hard-earned eight points.
Jemison trailed 25-14 at the halftime break.
The loss dropped the Panthers to an overall record of 3-2.
