Thorsby looks to bring home title for holidays
The Thorsby girls varsity basketball team could not have opened the season with more momentum than it has currently created.
The Rebels defeated Sumiton Christian 60-41 Monday during the Westminster Thanksgiving tournament held at Samford Univeristy.
With the win, Thorsby earned a spot in the championship game and will have the opportunity to bring home the trophy.
Lilly Barnett and Addie Argent were catalysts on the offensive end. Barnett finished with a team-high 26 points while Argent produced 19 points.
The offense did not stop there, as Kerri Robinson added 11 points of her own.
Sabrina Ellison provided her leadership as the lone senior on the squad by grabbing a team-high seven rebounds.
