Marshall Bolton, 70, of Jemison, passed away suddenly on Nov. 11 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster.

He was born in Chilton County on Dec. 29, 1944, the son of the late Richard Bolton and the late Martha Hayes Bolton.

He was a former superintendent with Chilton Drywall.

He is survived by daughter, Sherri Taylor (Melvin) of Jemison; grandchildren, Jordan Mims (Aleah) of Clanton, Jackson Mims of Jemison, Morgan Loftin (Adam) of Hoover, and Parker Taylor of Montgomery; great-grandchildren, Addalyn Mims, Olivia Mims and Orion Mims; special friend, Louise Cleckler of Jemison and sister, Margie Zieber (Bill) of Clanton.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Bolton; son, Jeff Bolton; parents, Richard and Martha Bolton; and a brother, Allen Bolton.

Funeral services were held on Nov. 15 at 2 p.m. from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Billy Wyatt officiating.

The family received friends one hour prior to the service.

Burial followed in the Pates Chapel Baptist Cemetery in Thorsby.
