Carlee Ellison, 87, of Jemison, passed away suddenly at his residence on Sept. 29.

He was born in Chilton County on June 1, 1928, the son of the late Rev. Charlie Ellison and the late Doshie Porter Ellison.

He retired from the Chilton County Road Department as a foreman.

He was also a faithful member of Thompson Chapel Assembly of God Church in Jemison.

He is survived by his son, Raymond Ellison (Donna); son, Freeman Ellison (Susan); daughter, Judy Price (Michael Don); daughter, Blanche Hayes (Rex); nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; brother, the Rev. Luther Ellison and sisters, Rena Foshee, Ruth Porter, Faye Albers and Elaine Bolton.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Lorene Bice Ellison, and sister, Onzell Glass.

Visitation was held Sept. 30 from 5-8 p.m. at Ellison Memorial Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Oct. 1 at 11 a.m. from Thompson Chapel Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Mark Bolton officiating.

The body will also be in state one hour prior to the service at the church.

Burial will follow in Midway Memorial Gardens in Jemison.
