Alvin Acie McCary, 54, of Jemison, passed away on Sept. 16 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster.

He was born in Clanton on Dec. 13, 1960, the son of the late Robert E. Lee McCary and the late Margie Whatley McCary.

He was a machinist.

He is survived by his wife, Treva McCary of Jemison; son, Dustin McCary (Kristen) of Helena; son, Chase McCary of Jemison; grandchildren, Avery McCary of Helena and one on the way, and brother, Curtis McCary (Betty) of Verbena.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Margie McCary and brothers, Hyman McCary, Harold McCary and Calvin McCary.

Funeral services will be held Sept. 19 at 2 p.m. from Jemison First Baptist Church with the Rev. Rex Kent officiating.

Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service at the church.

Burial will follow in Midway Memorial Gardens in Jemison.
