Two people were seriously injured in a wreck Sunday involving a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle.

Maplesville Police Chief Todd Ingram said the wreck happened about 12:30 p.m. Sunday near the intersection of highways 22 and 82.

Apparently, the vehicle was pulling out of the parking lot that serves a fuel station and The Timbers Grill, while the motorcycle was traveling on Hwy. 82 when the two collided, Ingram said.

The driver and a passenger on the motorcycle were transported to a hospital via emergency helicopter with serious injuries, Ingram said.

Both of the victims, who were from Florida, were conscious following the wreck.

The driver of the vehicle, a Prattville resident according to Ingram, was transported to a hospital with injuries that were considered less significant.
