Temperatures to cool for weekend

Chances of rain each day the rest of the week will taper off for a sunny, and cooler, weekend.

The forecast from the National Weather Service for Wednesday calls for a 50-percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 9 a.m.

The day should feature partly sunny skies and a high temperature near 87 degrees.

Winds should be calm, to 5 mph.

There’s a 20-percent chance of rain overnight with a low of 70 degrees.

Showers and thunderstorms are likely after 1 p.m. Thursday, with the chance of precipitation set at 60 percent. The high will be near 86 degrees.

Thursday night will see a 40-percent chance of rain with a low at 69 degrees.

Friday should be partly sunny, a high near 84, and a 50-percent chance of rain.

The possibility of rain lingers overnight Friday, with a low around 68, and into Saturday.

Forecasts call for the weekend to bring cooler temperatures, with the high for Saturday set at 81.

Sunday should be sunny with a high near 80 degrees.

The low Sunday night will be 59 degrees.
