Shirley Mae Oliver, 69, of Jemison, passed away on June 23, at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born on Dec. 1, 1945, in Shelby, the daughter of the late Grady Leonard Horton and the late Addie Mae Roberson.

She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald Oliver Sr. “Runt” of Jemison; daughter, Audrey Preston (Ken) of Navarre, Fla.; daughter, Cheryl Rogers (Chris) of Clanton; daughter, Ronnie Burnette of Jemison; daughter, Stacey Phillips (Josh) of Clanton; son, Ronald “Bubba” Oliver Jr. (Kim) of Brierfield; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Jean Lowery of Columbiana; sister, Hilda Steele of Clanton; brother, Jerry Horton of Columbiana; sister-in-law, Darlene Golden of Clanton and sister-in-law, Wanda Harper of Calera.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Grady Leonard and Addie Mae Horton; brothers, Marvin Horton, Roger Horton, Jimmy Horton and a sister, Helen Lively.

Funeral services will be held on June 24 at 11 a.m. from the Memorial Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Randy Reid officiating.

Burial will follow in the Elliotsville Cemetery in Alabaster.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services on Thursday at the funeral home.
