Mary Lanelle Baker, 52, of Clanton, passed away suddenly on June 18 at her residence.

She was born in Clanton on Sept. 29, 1962, the daughter of the late Robert “Sonny” Durham and the late Ruby Baker Durham Powell.

She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her son, Daniel Baker of Clanton; daughter-in-law, Teresa Baker of Clanton; grandchildren, Angel Baker, Brett Singleton, Chelsea Baker and Erica Baker; sister, Sherry Cleckler (Gerald) of Clanton; brother, Ralph Durham of Clanton; sister, Lisa Minor of Clanton; special friend, Dianne Simmons of Clanton, along with a host of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Mandy Baker; parents, Robert Durham “Sonny” and Ruby Durham Powell; sister, Linda Giles; grandparents, R.C. and Lettie Durham and Carlton and Effie Mae Baker.

Visitation was held June 21 from 5-7 p.m. at Ellison Memorial Funeral Home.

Funeral services was held June 22 at 11 a.m. from New Hope Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Wendell Kelley and Rev. Jeff Mims officiating.

The body will be in state one hour prior to the services at the church.

Burial followed in New Hope Assembly of God Cemetery in Clanton.
