Arthur Larry Bratton, 69, a resident of Luverne, passed away on June 15.

Memorial services were held at 2 p.m. on June 20 in the chapel of Turner Funeral Home of Luverne, who also directed.

Mr. Bratton was born in Birmingham on July 10, 1945, and was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Claiborne Bratton and Ruby Collum Bratton.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Penelope King Bratton; sister, Sue McKinney of Clanton; brother, Dr. Joe Burton Bratton (Mary) of Odessa, Fla.; two nieces, Kathy Redmond (James) of Knoxville, Tenn. and Ellen Beebe (Kenneth) of Palm Harbor, Fla.; six nephews, Paul McKinney (Linda), Phillip McKinney (Vanessa), David McKinney (Kim), all of Clanton, Walter A. King of Atlanta, Ga., Alan King (Jennifer) of Miami, Fla., and Eric Davis of Hong Kong, China; and several great nieces and nephews.
