Ray Kenneth “Ken” Cox Sr., 76, of Clanton, passed away on June 6 at his home.

He was born on Sept. 30, 1938, in Clanton, to the late G. Raymond Cox and the late Kathleen Blalock.

He was a truck driver.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Agnes Bavar; step-daughter, Rebecca Aguilar (Hector) of Liberty, Texas; step-daughter, Regina Underwood (Keith) of Clanton; son, Ray K. Cox Jr. (Karen) of Clanton; grandson, Dustin K. Gore (Ashley) of Maplesville; granddaughter, Layne Chapman of Clanton; grandson, Nathan Prince of Clanton; grandson, Josh Underwood of Clanton; granddaughter, Haley Underwood of Clanton; grandson, Kyle Cox of Clanton; grandson, Matthew Cox of Clanton; granddaughter, Cristal Aguilar of Texas; grandson, Hector D. Aguilar of Jemison; great-granddaughter, Alaina Gore of Maplesville; great-grandson, Remington Gore of Maplesville; great-granddaughter, Kelci Chapman of Clanton; great-grandson, Hunter Chapman of Clanton; great-grandson, Dakota Culp Prince of Clanton; great-granddaughter, Kylie Cox of Clanton and a sister, Carolyn Pritchett of Birmingham.

He is preceded in death by his parents, G. Raymond and Kathleen Blalock Cox.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on June 9 from the Memorial Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Shane D. Ogle officiating.

Burial follow in Chilton Memorial Gardens.

The family received friends one hour prior to the services on Tuesday at the funeral home.
